Allergy
Campicillin 250 MG Capsule is not recommended if a patient is highly allergic to ampicillin or other antibiotics of Penicillins and Cephalosporins groups.
Warnings for special population
Pregnancy
This medicine is not known to cause any harm to the fetus. But the evidence is inadequate and it should be used only when necessary after consulting a doctor.
Breast-feeding
This medicine is safe to use during breastfeeding. Any incidence of rashes on skin or diarrhea in the infant should be reported. It is advised to consult a doctor before taking this medicine.
General warnings
Allergic Reaction
Avoid if you have a known allergy to Campicillin 250 MG Capsule or Beta-lactam Antibiotics like penicillins and cephalosporins. Seek immediate medical attention if the patient experiences any allergic symptoms like rash, itching, nausea or vomiting, swelling of lips, hands, and feet.
Drug-resistance
Usage of Campicillin 250 MG Capsule without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that is drug resistant.
Clostridium difficile-associated Diarrhea
Do not take if you experience severe diarrhea after receiving Campicillin 250 MG Capsule. This is because the antibiotic therapy will cause an imbalance in the normal microbial flora in the large intestine, which promotes the growth of bacteria called clostridium difficile.
Mononucleosis
Campicillin 250 MG Capsule is likely to cause rashes and bumps on the skin if the patient is suffering from Mononucleosis. Usage of Campicillin 250 MG Capsule is not recommended in such cases.
